The first step in setting energetic boundaries is to know what your own energy feels like. To feel into the essence of you, your spirit, you need to move past the mind and body. Essence means “the ultimate nature of something that determines its character.” I find this definition to be really helpful in explaining what we are looking for energetically when we talk about our own essence. Oftentimes how we seem to other people and how we feel to ourselves is in contrast.

Starting to see and understand yourself as you truly are and feel into our own essence can empower you to know what is your energy and what is not your energy and understand how different environments and people are affecting you.
